The Journey

Day by Day

Arrival in Glasgow

Day 1

Arrival in Glasgow

Dundonald Links Golf Hotel

Your Scotland golf experience begins with arrival into Glasgow Airport (GLA). A private transfer awaits, whisking you southwest along the Ayrshire coast to Dundonald Links Golf Hotel—a contemporary property designed specifically for golfers, complete with practice putting greens, a whisky tasting room, and modern lodges clustered around the links. The 50-minute journey offers your first glimpses of the Scottish coastline. Your evening is at leisure to settle in, explore the clubhouse facilities, or enjoy dinner at the on-site restaurant.

Kilmarnock Barassie

Day 2

Kilmarnock Barassie

Dundonald Links Golf Hotel

Following a full Scottish breakfast, a short nine-minute transfer brings you to Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club. Founded in 1887 and tucked along the magical stretch of Ayrshire coastline that includes Royal Troon and Prestwick, this lesser-known gem delivers a serious test of links golf. Expect great conditioning, undulating terrain, blind shots, and quick greens—a full repertoire of shots will be required. The club has hosted The Boys Amateur Championship (2010) and the Scottish Stroke Play Championship (2012). Return to Dundonald for an evening at leisure.

Turnberry – Ailsa Course

Day 3

Turnberry – Ailsa Course

Dundonald Links Golf Hotel

Today's round needs little introduction. After breakfast, a 45-minute transfer brings you to Turnberry and the legendary Ailsa Course—long regarded as one of the finest links in the world. This is where Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson fought their epic "Duel in the Sun" in the 1977 Open Championship, and the course has since hosted The Open three more times. Recent renovations have elevated it to new heights. Some argue this represents the most complete links golfing experience anywhere. Your afternoon round unfolds against dramatic coastal scenery, with the iconic lighthouse standing sentinel over the holes. Evening at leisure back at Dundonald.

Prestwick Golf Club

Day 4

Prestwick Golf Club

Dundonald Links Golf Hotel

A 15-minute transfer delivers you to hallowed ground. Prestwick was the original site of The Open Championship—host to an astonishing 24 editions of golf's oldest major. The course is a traditional monument: an authentic affair with holes snaking to and fro through rugged dunes and rippled fairways. There is nothing manufactured here; this is links golf in its purest historical form. Savour the experience and the weight of history beneath your feet. Return to Dundonald for your final evening at the Ayrshire property.

Transfer to St Andrews

Day 5

Transfer to St Andrews

Rusacks Hotel, St Andrews

After breakfast, check out of Dundonald Links and begin the scenic two-hour-twenty-minute journey northeast to the Kingdom of Fife. Your destination: Rusacks Hotel, occupying an iconic 1800s building overlooking the 18th fairway of the Old Course in St Andrews. This is the Home of Golf—a place of unrivalled history, golfing royalty, and unique Scottish charm. Spend your afternoon and evening exploring the ancient university town, walking the West Sands beach, or simply settling into your Highlands-inspired room with its warm woods and muted tones.

Kingsbarns Golf Links

Day 6

Kingsbarns Golf Links

Rusacks Hotel, St Andrews

An 18-minute transfer brings you to Kingsbarns Golf Links, one of the newer courses in Scotland but already ranked 7th in the country. Opened in 2000, Kingsbarns has quickly distinguished itself as a must-play venue, adding a new dimension to the game in Scotland despite sitting in the company of some of the finest links in the world. The design makes full use of the stunning coastal setting, with several holes hugging the shore. Return to St Andrews for an evening exploring the town's restaurants and pubs.

St Andrews Links – New Course

Day 7

St Andrews Links – New Course

Rusacks Hotel, St Andrews

Your morning begins with a five-minute walk from the Rusacks to the New Course at St Andrews Links. Don't let the name mislead you—this is the oldest "new" course in the world, built by the Keeper of the Green, Tom Morris, in 1895. Currently ranked 27th in Scotland, it offers a wonderful and true test of links golf, sharing the same stretch of linksland as its more famous neighbour. With the Old Course ballot pending, today serves as ideal preparation for the terrain and conditions that define St Andrews. Evening at leisure.
